1 Day Course
Our Paediatric First Aid training covers all major paediatric incidents and illnesses including CPR and how to deal with choking. As a result of customer feedback we also included some major adult emergencies like heart attack and stroke.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is suitable for parents, grandparents, babysitters and anyone else who is interested in learning or refreshing lifesaving skills.
Training Methods:
We believe that the best way of learning First Aid is “hands on”. Therefore we developed a unique style based on class participation and role play. There is lots of interaction between the tutor and students and a plenty of humour.
Assessment
The course assessment includes practical skills demonstrations.
Certification
Certificate of attendance valid for 2 years.
Course Content Includes:
- Activation of emergency services.
- CPR & the use of an AED.
- Choking.
- Asthma.
- Epilepsy.
- Meningitis.
- Musculoskeletal injuries.
- Burns & Scalds.
- Allergies.
- Recovery position.
Learning outcomes
- Deal with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Provide an adequate response for paediatric conditions not thought to be life-threatening but are necessary to prevent further harm before the emergency medical services arrive.
- Display personal skills including composure, competence and self-confidence while understanding their limitations.
