Operating a forklift truck is a specialised skill. Many accidents are caused by untrained drivers operating trucks in ignorance of the special conditions that apply to forklifts. This course is designed for beginners with little or no experience who receive a certificate of qualification at the end of the course, provided they achieve the required standard in the theoretical and practical tests.

New drivers or drivers with little experience and no certification.

Classroom based PowerPoint Presentation.
Practical demonstrations and applications using the forklift.
Supervised trainee assessment with corrective instruction.
Practical and theory competence test.

- Simple corners and manoeuvring.
- Operation of hydraulic controls.
- Weight assessment.
- Handling pallets.
- manoeuvring in confined spaces.
- Handling awkward loads.
Certification:
Forklift Operators Beginner Certificate/registered with RTITB via the NORS Database.
Additional Information:
Certificates are valid for three years and must be refreshed before that time is up.
