1 Day Course
Course Aim: To equip trainees with the ability to recognise and treat immediately life-threatening conditions such as Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, Stroke or Choking.
Course Structure: The course is run over 1 day and utilises the very latest technology to maximise student learning. The emphasis is on learning the practical skills needed.
Course Tutors: Instructors are experienced registered professional PHECC Practitioners.
Certification
Participants will receive a PHECC CFR (A) certificate valid for 2 years.

- Early warning signs of Heart Attack
- Patient Care Reporting
- Basic principles of medication administration
- Recognition of Sudden Cardiac Death
- The Chain of Survival
- Safe use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Adult -Child & Infant
- Recognition of Stroke
- FAST assessment of stroke patients
- Choking (FBAO) Adult Child & Infant
- Airway Management, including Advanced Airway Adjuncts
- Oral Suctioning
- BVM use
- Oxygen Therapy
