The taster course helps you gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience from Wind Industry training provider ASL Safety & Training Limited.

Participate in skills training for: First Aid, Fire Safety, Sea Survival and Working from Heights.

This course will give you a flavour of the type of work you could be doing.

There is no job opportunity attached to this course. However, it is fully-funded training that gives you practical and theoretical experience of the renewable industry before you embark on a career.

Candidate Requirements:

It is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure they meet all the pre-requisites and provide documented evidence to that effect prior to course commencement. Failure to do so could result in forfeit of all costs and course attendance.

Course Content

Day 1

  • Intro to the Green Energy Sector and job roles.
  • Pathways into Green Energy roles.
  • First aid theory training.
  • Fire Safety theory training.
  • Marine practical activities – Hoisting over water, fire extinguisher training, smoke room escape training.

Day 2

  • Introduction to qualifications available.
  • Alternative job roles and employability advice.
  • Risk Assessment planning.
  • Working at Height practical activities – Climbing tower, Inertia reel.

Duration: 2 days
Course Time: 8.30am – 5pm.
Lunch Included on both days.
Funding availability is subject to personal circumstances.

Certification

ASL will provide certification for this introductory Wind Industry Kickstart Course.
