Our Digital Tachograph training course is designed for both commercial drivers and Fleet Managers who want to update their existing knowledge of digital tachograph equipment or are making the change over from the older analogue recording devices.
Who Should Attend?
Digital tachographs became mandatory within the EU in May 2006.
All Commercial Drivers (Artic, Rigid, Coach Drivers) and Fleet Managers of commercial vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
Training Methods:
Classroom based PowerPoint Presentation.
Practical demonstrations.
Course Content:
- Legal Responsibilities
- Enforcement and Penalties.
- What is a driver card?
- How to use the driver card.
- Operating the digital tachograph.
- Time settings.
- Adding manual entries.
- Mode switch settings.
- Printing a report.
- How to change paper.
- Mixed Driving (Analogue / Digital).
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this training participants will be familiar of the regulations governing them under EU Drivers hours and regulations, and understanding the basic principles of operating a digital tachograph.
Certification:
ASL Safety certificate of attendance.
