1 Day Course
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 includes the company vehicle as a place of work and states that every employer shall ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of his or her employees.
Who should Attend?
Drivers who are required to take their vehicles off road either regularly or occasionally.
Course Pre-Requisites:
A full licence for their vehicle category.
One representative vehicle per two drivers.

Certification
Each participant will be assessed on their driving techniques.
Training is LANTRA CERTIFIED.

Course Content

A short theory session outlining the design features of the 4X4 vehicle, covering the on and off road abilities of such a vehicle. A practical session in the drivers own vehicle demonstrating how to negotiate all types of terrain, such as hill climbing, steep descent, traversing, gullies, pits ETC.

Course Objectives

  • To enable the driver to operate their vehicle safely and with confidence.
  • To minimise the risk of injury in the performance of their duties.
  • To reduce damage claims and maintain brand image.
  • To raise driver awareness, concentration and observation skills.
